Tim Loranger on Updated National Guard Pilot Training

Wisner Baum attorney Tim Loranger joined KSTP-TV reporter Ryan Raiche to discuss the official National Guard report detailing events that led up to a 2019 Blackhawk helicopter crash that killed 3 service members. The pilots had a combined 1300 hours of flight experience when an engine failure caused them to lose control of the helicopter.

After reviewing the report, Loranger commended the National Guard for taking steps to ensure future pilots are better trained for emergencies—but expressed his sadness that no one caught the oversight before the deaths of these 3 men. Along with the issue of negligent training, the report stated a series of mistakes on the ground also contributed to the crash.
