Hannah Quicksell

Hannah Quicksell is a dedicated, passionate attorney with a strong focus on complex plaintiffs’ litigation, advocating victims of corporate greed. At Wisner Baum, she thrives in her role as an associate attorney litigating the firm’s pharmaceutical and consumer products product liability mass tort litigation, as well has the firm’s class actions. She is committed to helping clients access justice, as a vital member of the litigation team.

Before joining Wisner Baum in 2024, Hannah’s professional journey led her from the Mississippi headwaters down south to the Delta. Born and raised in Minnesota, Hannah obtained a philosophy degree from Grinnell College in Iowa, and then, taught high school English in New Orleans for three years, specializing in teaching academic writing. She then attended Loyola New Orleans College of Law, where she served as Articles Editor for Law Review and graduated summa cum laude in 2021.

After finishing top of her law school class, Hannah clerked for the Hon. Carl J. Barbier at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She went on to practice in many fields and venues including antitrust and data privacy class actions in state court, toxic tort cases in federal MDLs, special education advocacy in administrative court, and commercial litigation issues in bankruptcy court. Indeed, she participated in every stage of litigation from investigating potential class actions to conducting discovery to winning at trial.

Outside of her legal practice, Hannah is actively involved in her community as an intellectual and creative. Unsurprisingly, she spends much of her time writing both fictional and academic works. Recently, she published two law review articles: one arguing for a limited legal personhood for autonomous AI, and another tracing the lesser-known impacts of Brown v. Board of Education on the modern teaching force. In New Orleans, she runs a monthly Philosophy Salon and a Writers’ Club, fostering intellectual and creative discussions, and is an active member in the DIY Mardi Gras krewe, Krewe of Dystopian Paradise, Her creative pursuits, including fiction writing, music, and crafting, reflect her multifaceted personality and creative spirit and enrich her vibrant community.

Hannah’s blend of legal expertise, dedication to client advocacy, and vibrant community involvement makes her a valuable asset to the firm and a trusted advisor for her clients. Her passion for the law and commitment to excellence ensure that she will continue to make significant contributions to the legal field.
